Invisalign® for Adults and Teens in Atlanta
Beautiful, straight teeth without metal braces
Traditional metal braces can interfere with the professional careers of adults, not to mention being a nuisance to their active social lives. Invisalign® aligners are virtually invisible and are becoming the preferred and ideal teeth straightening option for adults who would rather not wear unsightly metal braces.
Rather than using traditional metal brackets and wires, Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortably fitting, virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth.
Dr. Padolsky is extremely experienced in orthodontics. He has completed all the training offered for the Invisalign procedure, and he has successfully provided treatment for many patients.

How Invisalign® works
Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners to gently shift your teeth into the correct position. This treatment takes approximately a year for adults, and for teens about the same amount of time as treatment with braces. There are no wires or brackets obstructing your view of your teeth, so you can see the positive changes as they occur.
Planning your treatment. Dr. Padolsky will take low-radiation digital X-rays, photos and impressions of your upper and lower teeth which the Invisalign technicians use to create digital 3D images of your teeth. Dr. Padolsky uses these images to map out a precise treatment plan. He can show you a virtual representation of how your teeth will move with each stage of treatment, and let you know the approximate length of treatment.
Custom aligners. Invisalign creates a series of custom-made, clear aligners following the treatment plan designed by Dr. Padolsky. These aligners are made of a smooth, BPA-free plastic that won’t irritate your gums like traditional metal braces often do.
Gradually straightening your teeth. Dr. Padolsky will fit you with a set of new aligners every two weeks, which will need to be worn for 20-22 hours a day. These clear aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place over time until the desired result is achieved. Since there are no metal brackets or wires, your mouth and gums are not irritated.
Invisalign® Express for speedy results
Invisalign Express is an effective, affordable, fast and convenient way to straighten minor aesthetic concerns. This is an ideal option for a few teeth with minor crowding or perhaps an orthodontic relapse.
Regular Invisalign treatment requires 20-30 aligners to move teeth into their correct position, whereas Invisalign Express aligners can correct spacing problems with 10 aligners or less. This means that the entire teeth straightening process will only take about three to six months.
Invisalign is perfect for teens who don’t want to feel self-conscious about wearing metal braces.
The aligners are made of a smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. When worn according to the recommendations of an experienced Invisalign provider, Invisalign Teen can be as effective as traditional braces.
Invisalign Teen offers the same benefits as adult treatment, with a few added bonuses. Six replacement trays are provided free of charge with Invisalign Teen, and compliance tracking is built into the trays so that you, your teen and your dentist can check how often the trays are being worn. Like the adult treatment, Invisalign Teen aligner trays can be removed to eat, brush and floss.
Conditions Invisalign® can correct
Here are some of the conditions corrected using Invisalign aligners:
Overly crowded teeth
Usually caused when there is not enough room along the jawbone for all of your teeth to be situated comfortably.
An overbite can cause painful jaw and joint problems, as well as gum irritation and wear on the lower teeth.
An underbite can cause undue stress on the lower teeth as well as jaw and joint problems.
Gaps between the teeth
Gaps can occur with abnormal continued growth of the jawbone, or when there are missing teeth causing adjacent teeth to shift. Spacing issues can lead to an increased risk of gum disease.
This is when some teeth are unable to make contact with the opposing teeth for a proper bite. An open bite can cause poor or painful chewing as well as problems with the jaw joint.
A crossbite occurs when one or more of the upper teeth bite on the inside of the lower teeth. This can cause teeth wear, gum disease and bone loss.
